It is not everyday that you have the pleasure of experiencing God's presence and that too as close as your own heart beat.
It is not everyday that nature shows itself in places you may never have thought of.
It is not everyday that you get to realise that there is a power that holds on to you which is beyond your reach.
It is not everyday that you appreciate the life given to you.
It is not everyday that you wake up and thank God for a beautiful day and a beautiful life irrespective of what hardships you are facing in life.
It is not everyday that you see a pre-mature baby born @ 6 months being fed in the nursery of the hospital.
It is not everyday that you encounter the mother of a 6 month pre-mature baby watching intently her baby in the nursery not missing even a pulse.
It is not everyday that you appreciate the utmost care taken by the nurses of their patients though internally they may be fighting a war aginst their employees.
It is not everyday that you smile at a stranger and make him wonder the reason for the smile.
It is not everyday that a stranger smiles at you and you return that smile irrespective of the fact that the stranger is a male or a female, a black or a white, a child or an elder, well-dressed or poorly dressed, a janitor or a doctor...
It is not everyday that you do an act of unselfishness and totally forget about it.
It is not everyday that you help the needful though they may be in need of help and you are capable enough to render that help.
It is not everyday that life shows you its many colors.
It is not everyday that you thank the nurse as profusely as you thank a doctor for having taken the care of your wife while she was in the labor room expecting your child.
It is not everyday that you thank your hubby for having sat beside you the entire time you were in the hospital because you think it was part of his duty.
It is not everyday that you see the happiness on your mother's face when she holds up her new born grand-daughter for the first time.
It is not everyday that you see your father rush to the hospital in a great hurry so that he is in time to greet the arrival of the new member of the family.
It is not everyday that you thank God for so many things...
But on that 15th day of January, 2009
It was the first time that I had held a half-an-hour old baby in my 25 yr old hands.
It was the first time that I had felt the presence of God so close.
It was the first time that I felt nature so close.
It was the first time that I felt a miracle so close.
It was the first time that I had felt the power of conception is the biggest gift given to a women.
It was the first time I had thanked God for having made me a women.
It was the first time for so many things that I am short of words to express them here...
From this day onwards...
It is now everyday that I hold a new born baby in my hands and keep admiring her sleeping face.
It is now everyday that I enjoy the pleasure of sitting idle and watch the baby playing.
It is now everyday that I get the chance to change nappies of my new born niece.
It is now everyday that I look forward to evening approaching fast.
It is now everyday that I wait for the office to get over.
It is now everyday that I pray to God that we are not stranded at any red light.
It is now everyday that I thank God for having given me a beautiful niece.
It is now everyday that I see the twinkle in my mom's, dad's eyes when they hold up their first grand-child.
It is now everyday that I thank God...just simply.
It's not the bullet with your name on it that you need to worry about; it's the thousand others addressed: "To whom it may concern."

Cognizant 2009!!!
Rays of the sun befall the dew drop, making it glow in glee
Birds weave the melody, you love to wake upto, swirling from tree to tree
Tabloid in hand, you turn more informed, with each sip of that quintessential tea
You rush to get ready, to see yourself at work, hoping for a chance to flee
Thus life goes by, day after day, joy and woe cheek by jowl
As yoy try to fathom the meaning of life and carve amongst it your role
But then befall things that leave you agape, that make you wake up and take note
Things that set you ticking, episodes that get you thinking, events not heard of before...

Dec. 25th Wednesday
7.30 a.m. - Woke up with a prayer to thank GOD that Ghazini is at last releasing (including a thanks to the Mumbai HC also).
7.45 a.m. - Woke up DC (a friend) with a msg. I know it was very stupid, but did not have the energy to call him up and wait! Sent a msg. Mu duty over. End of waking up story.
8.00 a.m. - Attended to the morning elementary functions.
8.30 a.m. - Called up other members of the First-day-first-show movie gang for an update on their status. 2 were still sleeping soundly. Gave them a gud dose of verbs ;)
9.00 a.m. - Waited for breakfast with bated breath. Show timings - 10 a.m. and that too in Patel Nagar and I m still @ home having breakfast :(
9.15 a.m. - Reach Dilshad Garden Metro Station. Nearest to my home.
9.20 - Catch a train to Kashmere Gate.
9.35 - Run like hell to change lines @ Kashmere gate. In b/w all this nonsense of running hither thither, the phone does not stop ringing. sigh...
9.45 - Alight @ Rajiv Chowk to catch another train. Frantically calling up friends to ask as to which train to board next. Grrrr...plz tell me who booked the tickets...@#$%^&*
9.50 - Boarded the next train. Two of my friends are already in the same train as I but am unable to meet them coz of the rush.
10.15 - reach the station near Satyam Cinemas. We three run as if Police is following us or we are following a thief (No, i think we were followed by a dog). Phew!!! I hate exercising in the morning. Guys, I m gonna kill u!
10.20 - Reach the Multiplex. "I am not a terrorist" "Plz let me go inside" "We can do the checking later". But who listens dese days to the plea of an innocent first-day-first-show-aamir-movie-lover...Oh! Gosh! only if I had owned a theatre. But on a second note, it is right also. Our security is in our hands only. If we do not cooperate then it is we who suffer. If the security is beefed up in public areas like this, it is for our own safety. And we do not stop blaming the authorities for being so negligent.
10.23 - Atlast I am in my seat which is the worst seat I have seen in my movie history. Its rocking like a baby's craddle. Aaargh.... we have already missed the starting scene of the movie.
Now that I am seated, Aamir is mercilessly beating up someone. Hmmm....now let me watch the movie in silence.
Intermission - Till now the movie is awesome with some glithces here n dere. But for Aamir, everything is acceptable.
1.30 p.m. - Irresistible, incredible, awesome, action-packed, romantic, emotional...I m searching for more words. he...he...he....
I thank all the guys who made this movie event happening and rocking!!!

Danger on Road...Happened on June 3rd
I was jolted out of my sleep by the screech of a car...it was the car I was travelling in, that had given me the jor ka jhatka dheere se lage wala jolt. I was sleeping soundly in the front passenger seat (an activity undertaken everyday to & fro the office), when the driver suddenly applies brake and I m thrown forward in my seat (sorry! I wasn't wearing my seatbelt!). I glanced at him with sleep-driven eyes but instead of being sorry for his act he was ponking his horn loud for the cars ahead of us to get lost...and he was also staring at something...I took cue n followed his gaze n 2 my horror saw a dog writhing in pain on the road just 2 metre ahead of us. It was then that the driver told me the reason for the sudden brakes...a car in front of us had ran over the dog and had left it to die in pain. The dog was in so much pain and fully covered in blood that I just couldn't take a look at it the second time. Instantly a prayer left my lips to God to help that dog and to save his soul. But the dog had had his share of destiny written already n I believe HE had penned it this way.
I couldn't just muster up the courage to look at the poor dog rather help it to the side of the road. It may be because of many reasons.
I cannot see a lot of blood flowing (ironically I wanted to be a neurosurgeon @ one point of time which is history now :(
I didn't have the guts to pick up the blood drenched dog in my bare hands.
I didn't have the courage to have my car stopped and call for ambulance.
Maybe I was afraid that if I stop the car n get down to help, wat are my cab mates who are sitting in the car going to think. That I was stupid enough to help a DOG n make them late for the office.
I didn't even have the courage to call up an animal ambulance.
Shit!!! man. When I think of that day, I get goosebumps. But I really wish I could have been of some help to a dying animal.
I do not know what karma had been done by the dog, but no animal or human deserves to die in this manner.
Why is it that life is so unfair with some n very fair with the others?
Why is that everything has been written for you? Your destiny is pre-destined for you and you are just a puppet come to play his part???
Why is that life has so many questions and so little answers?
Nvertheless, I believe God has sent me on this Earth for a purpose...not only me but everyone in this world is here for a purpose...and we need to fulfill that purpose in order to make our existence worthwhile.
I do not know what all this stuff that I have written relates to the life we live, but I do know one thing. Life is a very precious gift by God to any living being and if you show respect to life, it will surely reciprocate.
