Destiny

It is said that "Life chooses its own destiny". We have no control over birth and death. Man may have developed to the extent of cloning human beings but it has not developed to the extent of controlling birth and death. Wherever you are born, fate has already decided your place and manner of death.

You lot must be thinking की why i am being so senti.

Well, the reason happens to be this - we have had a death at our home today. We don't know who he/she was, from where did he/she come or how did he/she land up at our home. But one thing is for sure की he/she was destined to breath his/her last at our doorstep or rather balcony...
A pigeon was sitting in our balcony in the early hours of the morning today. My brother saw it first & came running into the house asking for dad. Dad was in the washroom at that time. I asked him what it was n he said that a pigeon has messed up itself in a MANJA (the thing used to fly kites). I went out to see it n he was sitting there near the flower pots trying to drink water from the wet ground. When I saw that what the pigeon was thirsty, we instantly brought water for him. My mom put out bajra also for him. He drank the water and ate the bajra.
Dad came out and tried to cut his manja but the pigeon was such tangled up in the manja that unfortunately he had cut himself up. We could not save him. My dad deduced that the pigeon was tangled in the manja 1 or 2 days before which is why it was in such a bad shape.

This is why I said that fate has pre-decided our destiny. However we may try to change it but we CANNOT change and control birth and death.

But I am happy for one thing - humne marte hue prani ko paani pilaya. Couldn't save the bird but yes atleast served him before his death.

not a gud day :(

2day seemed to be d baddest or may I say the worst day i hv experienced in office till date. not that i havent been thru bad days earlier but 2day was something different...i came into a depressive mood coz of many reasons which i think was my foolishness to take it on heart. But then it is human nature to feel hurt n i m no exception...

well i dont foster any hurting for long but then some things pinch like pins that they leave a mark somewhere or the other. I will have to learn to accept them and learn from them rather crying over spilt milk...As has been rightly said by a gr8 scholar -

Gud days give u "Happiness"
Bad days give u "experience"
worst days give u a "lesson"

but then i asked the forgivings of GOD who is omnipresent and overseeing all things. HE is truly the one before whom i can vent out my heart and that is wat i did today coz i believe that when GOD has brought you to it, he will take you thru it!!!

I also learned an imp lesson in life thru a friends mail - THE LAW OF GARBAGE TRUCK!!
Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you.
Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.

Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
So .. Love the people who treat you right and forgive the ones who dont !!

Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets.

Today i was in the course of making history in the books of Kabra KHANDAAN....my words would have been written in golden...I would have been a walking role model for the upcoming generation...

Unfortunately for me my Varun bhaiya spoiled all my plans...
Well...i will tell u d whole story...the story goes like this....

TODAY, i.e., 08/08/08 is VARUN BHAIYA's b'day...so i had made up a plan yesterday nite itself dat i will wish him on 08/08/08 @ 8.08 mins!!! Such a gud plan na!!!! but dat stupid, moron, idiot of the century (i know its ur b'day varun) didn't pick up my call wen i called him up on 08/08/08 @ 8.08....he was God damn! sleeping...n he also had the mind to switch off the phone l8r....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

well den he had the intelligence of returning back my call, but u know wat???? i didnt wish him HAPPY B'DAY!!!

yes, i m not the one to fail so quickly in my mission...now i m gonna still wish him on 08/08/08 @ 8.08 but only the difference is - earlier it would have been in the morning n now its gonna be in the evening ;)

SCHOOL IS NOT “REAL LIFE”

Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this!

A few years ago, Bill Gates gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won’t be a vice-president with a company car and expense account until you earn both.

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it - opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools,they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

Taoist Philosophy

Before Angels & Demons became a worldwide best-seller, the Philosophy ambigram was the most popular design. This was appropriate, as the most significant influence that led to the development of ambigrams was the yin/yang symbol, central to the ancient Chinese philosophy Taoism. As a result of the meditations on the philosophical principles behind yin and yang, the ambigrams render Taoist ideas as visual word-based art.

The basics of Taoism are concerned with the ebb and flow and natural balances inherent in nature and the lives of human beings as well. Appropriately, the words that were chosen to develop into ambigrams reflect these same principles: ambiguity, symmetry, balance, and synthesis, to name but a few.

Taoist philosophy undoubtedly developed in the same way that Western science did– through the observation of nature. It holds that the universe exists in a dynamic state of balance that ebbs and flows with the interplay of opposites: light and dark, male and female, day and night, the seasons, the tides, and the death of one organism supporting the life of another, all exemplify this balance. This is the way of nature, and the word Tao means The Way, or the path. The path is not a straight line. It is the path of least resistance. Taoism holds that water represents The Way best. A stream must yield to every obstacle in its path, yet eventually erodes each one. In its progress from rain to river to ocean, and eventual evaporation, water travels a neverending circuit.

These ideas came to be graphically represented by the yin/yang symbol. The two halves are not in opposition, but exist in a complimentary relationship. Taoists do not believe, for instance, that "good" will ever win out over "evil." Rather everything has its positive and negative aspects that cannot be isolated, and that therefore, "good" and "bad" will always exist in a dynamic relationship of ebb and flow.

The dot of opposing color represents the idea that in every force there exists the seed of the opposite force. That night is created by the sun, ensures the day. That the tide is low in one part of the world when it is high in another means that the two must necessarily reverse. A philosophy cannot be a dogma. It must openmindedly reflect on any fact or point of view. It must be a way of thinking. A framework within which to observe. It may require looking at things from the vantage point of another person, or another culture, or natural system. The complimentary opposite halves, yin and yang, represent this idea as well. One cannot hold to a yin point of view exclusively. North is not "better" than south, nor day "better" than night.

Ambigrams require the viewer to see from different points of view. The selection of words is oriented towards ideas that represent the natural processes that the yin/yang symbol represents and asks that the viewer consider both points of view.
